PADI Discover Scuba Diving
 

The PADI Discover Scuba Diving program lets you experience the thrill of diving under the supervision of a PADI Instructor in ideal conditions, such as those found at a resort. During your adventure, you'll master some basic concepts and scuba skills before heading off on an open water dive.
Your open water dive takes you as deep as 12 metres/40 feet! (Of course this depends on where you dive.) The Discover Scuba Diving experience is a great way to get a head start on your PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver certification. That's because the skills you complete during your adventure may credit these certification levels. To participate in the Discover Scuba Diving experience, you must be at least 10 years old.

PADI Scuba Diver
 


This program is a wonderful opportunity to explore the underwater world with the comfort and safety of having an experienced guide with you at all times. The knowledge and skills you learn in this program are just the beginning of an exciting array of courses and programs that await. With a PADI Scuba Diver certification card, you will be able to obtain air fills, scuba equipment and other services for diving under supervision. After completing the program, you'll want to continue your dive education and the PADI Open Water Diver certification to explore more dive opportunities.
Anyone age 15 or over qualifies for the PADI Scuba Diver program. If you are between the ages of 10 and 14, a PADI Junior Scuba Diver program is available. A PADI Instructor will ask you to complete some paperwork, which includes a medical questionnaire, Liability Release, and a Safe Diving Statement. After the paperwork is complete and you have the necessary signatures, its time to dive!

PADI Open Water Diver
 

Now is the time to dive into the PADI Open Water Diver course, the most popular dive program in the world! This is your ticket to a lifetime of intense adventure.
Throughout the course, you'll learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. You will also earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification that is recognized worldwide.


You earn this rating by completing five pool dives and knowledge development sessions and by making four open water dives.

If you already tried a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience or are PADI Scuba Diver certified, check with your instructor to see how credit from these courses may apply to the open water program. Your Underwater adventure can begin as soon as today.

Open water learning options also include group or private instruction. This course offer Tremendous flexibility and lets you work out individual needs with your instructor.

Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification. At some point in the course, your PADI Instructor will ask you to demonstrate the Ability to swim 200 metres/yards without swim aids or 300 metres/yards with mask, fins and snorkel and Complete a bit of paperwork, to get you on your way. If you are between 10 and 14 or have a child between these ages, there is a PADI Junior Open Water Diver program available.

PADI Adventure Diver
 

To become a PADI Adventure Diver you need your PADI OpenWater certification (or equivalent) and the desire to experience thrilling adventures. This in-water performance based program includes a total of three dives from the following list: Altitude, Boat, AWARE-Fish Identification, Deep, Dive Propulsion Vehicle (DPV), Drift, Dry Suit, Multilevel, Night, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Search and Recovery, Underwater Naturalist, Underwater Navigator, Underwater Photography, UnderwaterVideography, Wreck.

If you're 15 or older, and a PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent, then you're ready for the Adventure Diver Program. Or, if you're a PADI Junior Open Water Diver or equivalent and between the ages of 12-14, there's the PADI Junior Adventure Diver programs.

After successfully completing the program, you'll receive the PADI Adventure Diver certification. Now, take the Next step! Complete two more adventure dives (must include deep and navigation) and become a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver.

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
 


PADI's Adventures in Diving p-rogram has something for everyone. This in water, performance-based program includes dives from the following: Altitude Diver, Boat Diver, Drift Diver, Deep Diver, Dry Suit Diver, Dive Propulsion Vehicle, Multilevel Diver, Night Diver, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Search and Recovery, Underwater Naturalist, Underwater Videographer, Underwater Photographer, Underwater Navigator, AWARE Fish Identification, Wreck Diver
If you're at least 12 years or older and a PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver (or equivalent), then you're ready for the PADI Adventures In Diving program.

The PADI Adventures in Diving program offers two certification options. Complete any three Adventure Dives to earn the PADI Adventure Diver rating. Complete the Deep and Underwater Navigation Adventure Dives and three additional Adventure Dives (five total) and earn a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification. Divers between the ages of 12-14 who complete the dives can earn a PADI Junior Adventure Diver or Junior Advanced Open Water Diver rating. The maximum recommended depth for adventure dive is 30 metres/100 feet.

PADI Adventure Divers and Advanced Open Water Divers (15 years of age and older) may participate in PADI Wreck and Deep Diver Specialties. PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certification lets you continue on to the PADI Rescue Diver or Junior Rescue Diver course. And, provided you meet minimum age requirements for individual courses, you may take PADI Specialties such as Cavern Diver (18 years), Semiclosed Rebreather-Dolphin/ Atlantis/ Ray (15 years), and Search and Recovery (12 years).

What's more, PADI Adventure Dives also count towards PADI Specialty Diver certifications. For example, if you like night diving and want to earn your PADI Night Diver rating, your Night Adventure Dive counts as the first dive of the specialty.

You'll also need to have successfully completed the PADI MEDIC FIRST AID® program or a sanctioned Program in CPR within the past three years. The PADI Rescue Diver program covers:
