Diving
at Eel Garden has been described as diving on some strange planet. It requires the perfect conditions to perform the dive safely, both for the diver and the environment that is being entered. The most famous stars of Eel Garden are the sand eels that wave in the current like shiny silver ribbons. These reclusive creatures are a treat to observe and there by the hundreds, found in the 12 to 25 metre range.
Eel Garden also boasts some incredible coral walls and a beautiful L-shaped pinnacle with various soft corals and other more lively denizens. For the more advanced diver, there is also the unforgettable drift dive from Eel Garden to Lighthouse. This is at least an hour of dive time, so you really need to be good on air to do the dive.
